I am an award winning Art/Creative Director based in Toronto Canada. With over fifteen years of experience, I have created unique brand experiences for companies in the entertainment and sports industries including EA Sports and Ubisoft.

My work to date includes brand development, graphic design, concept development, user interface design and user experience design.  
Professional Experience
Marketing/Brand Creative Director
Ubisoft Toronto
September 2012 - Present

Marketing/Brand Creative Direction for one of Ubisoft's premier franchises – Tom Clancy’s Splinter Cell Blacklist. The Splinter Cell Franchise total sales amount to over 10 million copies worldwide.

Responsibilities include creative/art direction of:
• Print (magazine covers/stories)
• Trailers (Television and YouTube viewed by millions)
• Key Art (Print & digital)
• Artwork and projection mapping, assets and media requirements for the Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) in Los Angeles viewed and attended by millions
• Online interactive assets (Shadownet.com)
• Social media campaigns (Online/Offline)
• Screenshots (Print publications and web)
• Presentations and consultations with leaders in Toronto, Montreal, Paris and San Francisco
• Direction of in-house creative resources (6 people) and point of contact for external agencies


Art Director – Brand (Contract)
Behaviour Interactive (Formerly Artificial Mind & Movement)
February 2012 - July 2012

Contracted for a brand reboot for company's 20th anniversary to provide direction and development of assets focused on the studio and company.

Responsibilities included:
• Direction of rebrand on company logo/word mark and a redesign of corporate website
• Direction and concept development for studio design (e.g., studio interior/industrial design)
Responsibilities continued:
• Art/Creative Direction of branded experiences across Facebook/iOS and handheld
• Mentoring junior graphic design staff
• Direction of external agencies and contractors
• External contact for brands/clients


Senior Art Director (Contract)
nZone Media for brand bodog
August 2011 - January 2012

Direction and concept development of sport brand sponsorship of West Bromwich Albion (English Premier League) by brand bodog.

Responsibilities included:
• Direction and management of creative staff in worldwide locations including copywriters and designers
• Direction of all campaign assets including Television, radio, microsites, banners, print, social media, DM, brand ID and rich media
• Direction of brand guidelines and application of the bodog brand on all West Bromwich Albion assets including stadium artwork, pitch signage, uniform/kits as well as any cross promotion or secondary tier assets
• Interface with senior members of the brand across International locations
• Brand art/creative direction for all West Bromwich Albion (English Premiership Football Club) sponsored assets
• Leadership roles such as staffing, resource allocation, and key agency pitches and presentations

Ubisoft Montreal
September 2009 - August 2011

Art/Creative Direction for one of Ubisoft's premier franchises – Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six.
The Splinter Cell Franchise total sales amount to over 10 million copies worldwide.

Responsibilities included:
• Direction of a rebrand for a highly successful AAA title with sales of over 10 million copies
• Direction of brand assets including microsites, banners, print, brand ID and rich media
• Interaction with company leaders in Montreal, Paris and San Francisco
• Team leader and manager to a multidisciplinary group consisting of 11 artists and developers
• Interaction and consultation with external creative agencies providing asset services



Director, Interactive Design
Artificial Mind & Movement (Now Behaviour Interactive)
November 2006 - September 2009

Direction and concept development for all brand work for the studio working with multiple premier publishers such as Disney, Marvel, Lucas Arts.

Responsibilities included:
• Creation and direction of user experiences and related marketing assets for agency clients
• Liaison with studio leads for involvement in high-level decisions
• Team leader and manager of a multidisciplinary group consisting of 10 artists and developers
• Direction of style guides for client brands
• Management of external contractors and RFP arrangements
• Point of contact with clients such as Marvel, Disney, Lucas Arts
• Credits Include: Naughty Bear, Naughty Bear, Double Trouble, Scene It? Bright Lights! Big Screen!, Indiana Jones and the Staff of Kings, My Sims Racing, Kung Fu Panda-Legendary Warrior, High School Musical: Sing It!, Power Rangers: Super Legends and Spiderman: Friend or Foe


Art Director – Interactive
Electronic Arts (EA SPORTS)
June 2001 - November 2006

Art Direction for EA Sports Interactive/UX and Branding.
Established the overall art/creative direction for UX and branded content in EA SPORTS Titles.

Responsibilities included:
• Definition of the brand vision for EA Sports titles that sell over 20 million copies per year
• Facilitated EA/ESPN partnership
• Point of contact on brand discussions with ESPN, and sports leagues (NHL, NBA, FIFA)
• Overall management of the creative team of over 15 artists and developers
• Direction of yearly brand Style Guide for all EA SPORTS Titles
• Liaison with studio leads for involvement in high-level decisions
• Concept Development and Creative Direction on all next generation sports titles
• Managed and lead contact on external contractor and RFP arrangements
• Directed a FIFA/EA/Coca Cola branded Flash promotion distributed worldwide (6 million copies)
• Integral in moving EA worldwide UX teams to the Adobe Flash platform for authoring UX
• Credits include: UEFA Champions League (‘04, ’06); FIFA (‘02, ‘03, ‘04, ‘05, ‘06, ’07); NBA LIVE (’07); NHL (’07); FIFA World Cup (‘02, ’06)





Senior Designer (Interactive)
Stratford Internet Technologies
January 1997 - March 2001

A founding member and senior art/creative director for the startup company. Stratford’s clients included industry leaders, Rethink Advertising, Ballard Power, Virtually Dating.com, Be Inc., Atlantic Records USA, Comedy Central, Shockwave.Com, David Suzuki Foundation and West Coast Express.

Responsibilities included:
• Director of studio-wide production and design processes
• Management of a multidisciplinary creative team of 30 individuals with final accountability for quality of creative product
• Leader of a subsidiary creative company focused on interactive online gaming with multiple global clients
• Pitches, presentations to clients on a frequent basis
