Mr. Matthew Daley is an illustrator/cartoonist based out of Toronto, Canada. His style combines hand created textures, stamps and found objects into vector formats to create a rugged, painterly look.
Mr. Daley spent his formative years in the J section of Bramalea, Ontario. There he was weaned on a steady diet of comic books, heavy metal, pro wrestling and other shining beacons of junk culture. He eventually put his years of constant doodling to use and found his way into the illustration program at Sheridan College. While there he self published his first mini comic-Lunchmeat Daydreams-which featured the earliest adventures of his current webcomic character, Mr. Monitor.
His work has appeared in print in both independent and mass media magazines. He has also put his skills to use as a poster designer for a number of musicians and organizations. In the fall of 2009, he had the extreme honour of being chosen to illustrate posters that were sold at Devo’s first Toronto performances in over 25 years. Recent endeavours have included, most notably, character designs for The Dairy Farmers of Canada’s iPhone app, "Wild Waterfall"
