Position: Architect- Project in charge

Project:
- A Community Hall, Rajkot, South Gujarat, India. Total built up area: 13,500 Sq. m (2nd floor under construction) A community hall for Swaminarayan sect constructed adjacent to existing temple complex, includes 7000 people capacity of main hall, dormitories for 200 people, dinning hall, kitchens, storage, parking and services. Main hall covered with Steel truss spanning 65 x 38 m, one of the largest structures in Gujarat.
- Farm house for Gajera family, Surat, Gujarat, India. Total built up area : 750 Sq. m(April to Oct. 2005) A farm house constructed for diamond merchant for his U.S based children in short time period in a mango farm of 6 acre at the bank of Tapi river adjacent to Surat city. Construction – structure of industrial steel section, composite panels and wood.
- Pharmacy College, Amreli, South Gujarat. Total built up area: 6400 Sq. m (Nov. 2005 to Mar 2006) A pharmacy college inserted in an existing campus designed by same firm in 2000. it includes laboratories for various subjects, offices and class rooms.
- Gajera campus, Surat, Gujarat. A campus includes for student hostel blocks, residential blocks for elderly people, primary school, and administration block and play areas.
- A diamond polishing factory, Amreli, Gujarat. Total built up area: xxx Sq. m (March. 2005 to under construction)




Responsibilities:

Frequent site visit involving laying out, checking the execution, giving guidelines, measuring the work done, co-ordinating various agencies, checking quality of construction and material used.
Quick sketched planning and drafting out solutions for Space Design.

Mehrangardh fort complex, Jodhpur, Rajasthan, India (Leading a team of 15 persons- 12 hrs/day for 1 month) May-April 2003
Measured drawing and documentation for conservation and restoration purposes for Mehrangardh Fort Trust and Prof. K.B. Jain, based in Ahmedabad. ‘Mehrangardh’, located in Jodhpur hot and dry city of Rajasthan state, which is known as its architectural heritage. The fort is a huge building with very complex geometry.

Competitions:
- Awarded Third Prize in the category of Urban Police Station organised by Gujarat state police housing corporation limited (GSPHCL) and CEPT Uni. (Jan. 2003)
- Selected for first stage of the Competition of innovative use of steel organized by INSDAG at national level. Sponsored and invited by INSTAG for the second stage at Calcutta. Awarded Forth Prize (Jan 2003)

Workshops and Symposiums

- Participant in the NASA May 2001.
- Conducting regular sketching trips in and around Ahmedabad with the students of School of Architecture, CEPT and in collaboration with Ms.Brinda Shah and Mr.Riyaz Tayyibji.

Voluntary Works/ extracurricular activity
-In charge of student computer lab of School of Architecture (handling software installation, account maintenance and handling server – win. 2000 NT) for duration of one year. Lab capacity: contains 12 PC connected with Server and 200 accounts for students (December 2001 to march 2003)

- Work for the post earthquake relief work started by the students of C.E.P.T. immediately after the quick.
- Member of the team of six people (engineers, photographer, co-ordinator form AMC) carried out building assessment work organised by CEPT, AMC and AUDA. Work for five days – team visited area in Maninagar and Sola- Naranpura areas on the basis of received application from the people.

- NGO work for poor (school classis, rehabilitation work) work for the NGO run by ……. At Juhapura area during riots- riots affected people – post riots (2001) rehabilitation work at Juhapura and Sarkhej area – as site coordinator in group of five people for the construction work for damaged residential blocks and new constructed row-houses (one room) for affected families funded by various NGO

Part of a team doing Earthquake Damage Survey of Ahmedabad (EQ.D.S.A.), India. Later it was sponsored by Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation (AMC) and Ahmedabad Urban Development Authority (AUDA). The work published by CEPT in a form of C.D. Leading the team doing assessment of Earth Quake Damage Survey with taking help from engineers all over the country. The central government decided to give compensation money according to the grade given by us.
