Referee Citation
"I have known Si Ping since year 2001 when she was in secondary school. In all these years that I have known her, I found her to have a unique way in analysing things and issues. In simple words, she has her own point of view and she was never afraid to say or show it. As an art educator since 1995 to primary, secondary and teacher trainees, I think that ability to interpret things in a fresh perspective is an important attribute of any artist. While many in the area of graphic arts are trend followers, it is exciting and refreshing to come across a trend setter. Si Ping is one. While her education in the arts has not been very long, in these few short years, she has already worked with some 'top-notch' clients, producing works of very commendable standards."

"First I’d like to mention I have the ability to recognize talent. I’m a Filmmaker, as well as I have studied Film – Art – Culture – Philosophy and Psychology, therefore my ability to deconstruct the psycho-aesthetics in an image (a frozen moment in time), subverts the traditional and conventional human mind. With that said, I knew working with Ping would be a success because I represented one way of perceiving the world through the eyes while she represented another unique way to view the world. Both of our creative views in art along with her artistic digital art skills equated to a beneficial experience.

Although I do not understand the process of the digital art world and how an idea is transformed into a visual composition – Ping guides me through the process in which as an artist (myself) I appreciate, and it is important to do so because there is always a loss in translation. I found that to be extremely rewarding with Ping, because I like to ensure my ideas will be well represented and PixelPastry is the perfect candidate!"
