Brief Summary

Michael Rafelson

Michael's passion and dedication to photography has been a life-long affair.

His education at Silvermine College of Art and Ryerson University exposed him to seminal photographers such as: Robert Frank, Diane Arbus, Lee Friedlander, Paul Strand. Eugene Atget, Edward Weston, and many other great artists. These influences opened the doors to many questions and explorations that continue today. The world is full of beauty and horror, and the people that have created both. This is what has led Michael to a variation of anthropology; striving to illustrate stories in a fine aesthetic.

In addition to Michael's personal photography pursuits, he has enjoyed a successful career bringing commercial assignments to fruition which has resulted in approximately 60-national and international awards. Michael is also producing video as a powerful medium for the Internet.
