Sarah Hankinson is a Melbourne based Artist and Illustrator with over 15 years experience engaging in commercial illustration as well as other creative pursuits. More recently, Sarah has continued to hone her skills and artistry into a fine arts and mural based practice.

Inspired by the natural world we inhabit, Sarah has a passion for botanical, landscape and still life painting and drawing; prompting us to delve deeper into an understanding of our sense of place. In focusing on the natural surrounds, she illuminates the fragility of our environment and encourages others to foster a deeper appreciation and connection to the wonders of nature by slowing down and taking notice. Pieces are a visual ode to the profound beauty of the everyday which can be easily overlooked. They express a richness of the intricacies that make life bountiful and abundant.

Sarah's dexterity to successfully utilise a range of mixed mediums from rich and layered oil pastels to dynamic ink washes, harmonises both traditional and modern techniques. With her delicate lines and bold use of colour, Sarah's unique style brings her subjects to life.

In 2012 Sarah co-founded artist hub - The Windsor Workshop - running a community co-working studio and workshop space - a place to gather and connect, collaborate and create.
