Is there a Doogie Howser M.D. of the illustration world? Probably not, but Sanders might be close. His first paying client came his way when he was only twelve years old. While Doogie was merely saving lives (and we all know anyone can do that these days with defibrillators and other medical what-not), Sanders was actually enriching lives through the well-worn art of mildly amusing drawings.
Since those early days he has worked as a designer and art director in the advertising world. Sanders returned to illustration a few years back now, and has since picked up a few awards with his nostalgic-esk drawings. In fact much of his work would fit comfortably in a 1950's children's book, a jazz album cover or even on the side of an ice cream van.
