A daydream is a meal at which images are eaten. Some of us are gourmets, some gourmands, and a good many take their images precooked out of a can and swallow them down whole, absent-mindedly and with little relish. ~W.H. Auden
With camera in hand, Sonya Revell seeks to construct imagery that emerges from her delightful daydreams of dazzling candy colors and capricious characters.
Revell hails from the great state of Kentucky, where she attended the same high school as Muhammad Ali.
She would eat ice cream for every meal if it didn’t mean weighing more than an elephant.
Sonya’s laugh has often been described as a cackle, though she always speaks loudest with her eyebrows.
While Revell still fantasized about running off to join the circus or perhaps becoming a race car driver, the truth is, nothing tops image making.
