Brief Summary
Born in China, multicultural and multidisciplinary artist and designer Xin Wen explores objects from an unconventional perspective. She seeks codes shared with emotion and logic worlds and transfers the reason, harmony and beauty from science into design.
All along the way, she has been training her professional skills and knowledge in both science and design. Received a bachelor degree of biotechnology, she graduated from Savannah College of Art and Design with Master of Fine Art degree in furniture design.
Xin Wen’s designs focus on daily objects that are inspired by every aspect of life and fused with personal interpretation ranging from science, gastronomy, fashion, technology, psychology and cultures. Also, deeper meanings in terms of history, politics or philosophy are explored because she believes design should not only solve people's problems in daily life but also to make them to realize the sophistication, beauty or even imperfection of the world as well as to think the real meaning of being.
