Biographies
Andreia Mesquita:
Andreia Mesquita graduated in 2007 from the College of Fine Arts in Lisbon with a BA in Communication Design.Since then has worked for several design studios in Lisbon, developing projects in the advertising and institutional sectors.Inside Studio NAMIC, where she is co-founder and acts as communication designer, she has been involved in interactive/multimodal interfaces and tries to apply emergent technologies in the several fields of Design.
David Gonçalves:
After engaging in a mechanical engineering degree for two years, changes course and graduates in 2004 from the College of Fine Arts in Lisbon with a BA in Product Design. While engaged in his course, he works as intern in an Architecture Studio of the Lisbon City Hall and collaborates in a series of projects with DASEIN, a design studio also in Lisbon. In 2005 David starts to work as in-house industrial designer for L.A. Iluminação – Lustrarte , a company from Marinha Grande - Portugal, and develops for them a new collection of decorative fixtures along with the newly created brand LumLighting.In September 2008 he was awarded a Master of Science in Design and Transport with Distinction, from Coventry University, in the UK and since then is involved in developing Studio NAMIC.

Project Grasshopper - Merit prize in the 12th International Bicycle Design Competition – Taiwan, ROC.
Project Phoenix - Winner of the Michelin Challenge Design 2009 and scale model exhibited at NAIAS 2009, Detroit, USA. Project done with Niels Iversen.
Project Scarab - Winner of the Michelin Challenge Design 2010 and exhibited at NAIAS 2010, Detroit, USA.
