Since 2000, Shephard Imageworks has offered our services as editorial, wedding, portrait, and commercial photographers in the Michiana and surrounding Northern Indiana and Southwestern Michigan areas.

I'm a former U.S. Navy Photographer's Mate and newspaper photojournalist. After my two tours of duty in the U.S. Navy I worked for the Herald-Palladium and Johnson Rauhoff Communications in St. Joseph, Michigan, the South Bend Tribune in South Bend, Indiana, and as a correspondent for the Elkhart Truth in Elkhart, Ind.

My partner and wife Jennifer is a newspaper photojournalist here in Elkhart, Indiana, our home since 2003.

We started Shephard Imageworks as partners while we were living in Sawyer, Michigan, so as to branch out into other types of photography in addition to our work for local newspapers.

My clients have included Southwestern Michigan College, Lake Michigan College, Ancilla College, Elkhart General Hospital, Affinity Media Group, USA Today, Navistar, Oaklawn, G&G Media, Bloomberg News, Blue Moon Design Group, Inc., Universal Bearings LLC, Waste Away Group, Inc., and Kiel North America, LLC. 

I've won several AP photo of the month awards for two different newspapers.
