Hi! My name is Bárbara Abbês, I'm 26 years old and currently live in Rio de Janeiro – Brazil.

I graduated in Graphic Design at PUC-Rio, but also studied at other institutions. I studied Design at Centro Universitário da Cidade for a year and a half before transferring to PUC. While I went to Centro Universitário da Cidade I also attended UNIRIO where I studied Theatre with emphasis in Scenography/Stage Design but then chose to focus on a design oriented career.

I have great interest in Graphic Design, Typography and Editorial Design (books and magazines). I have been working as a graphic designer for a few years with printed matter, books, visual identity and I eventually do illustration for motion graphics. I'm available for freelance work.

I believe design is more than creating great work. A part of a designer's job is to make our profession relevant and recognized. We need to raise expectations concerning design.
