William Alix is a French-American freelance photographer based in Paris, France.
He studied cell biology, French literature and photojournalism at the University of Kansas, USA. Back in Paris, France in 1994, he worked as picture editor at AFP, then joined the AP as editor and photographer. Past collaborations also include UPI, covering French news, politics and fashion.
William went freelance in 2001, providing pictures for Bayard Presse magazines, Marianne, l'Express, le Journal du Dimanche, AP Images, AFP Corporate, ARTE...
William is represented by SIPA PRESS and CIRIC. He is currently working on multiple personal projects.
