For the purpose of making Albert Normandin as interesting as possible,
several points in his biography have been fictionalized.
Although it is true he studied under Ernest Haas and Gregory Heisler, their admiring comments on Alberts talent are, in fact, a pastiche of compliments paid in court to King Henry VIII by Sir Thomas Wolsey in 1525 and reproduced here.
Mr. Normandin does live in Canada. He did not practice witchcraft with Miles Davis.
For the sake of dramatic action, reference to Alberts apprenticeship with Jay Maisel in New York has been replaced with the more exciting account of his writing and arranging all of Pink Floyds material and winning the Nobel Prize for impregnating infertile livestock.
Albert Normandin did not, as is stated, colonize Australia, father 32 children, design the first pair of hot pants or become a Guggenheim Fellow.
He has shot in Ethiopia, India, Bolivia, Vietnam, Chile, Indonesia, Myanmar, China, Peru, Columbia, Ireland and Africa. Desert Storm was included for illustrative purposes only.
There are no operas celebrating his achievements.
