I'm a self-taught artist. I started painting, drawing and "crafting" early in life, but my older sister had all ready earned a masters of fine art, and, besides, my supposed destiny was to be more intellectual to make my parents proud. In 1999, I suffered what people call catastrophic illness, and when I awoke from a coma, I couldn't move. Every muscle in my body was atrophied and I had suffered nerve damage. During my recovery, husband gave me a wacom tablet and I was off and running. In my previous life I had been a receptionist, software tester/QA manager, client services representative. Then I had taken a break before starting at BankBoston as a treasury systems analyst. By this time in my life, I had had enough of east coast winters and found myself moving to san diego. The rest is still to come.
