Monica grew up in Sweden, where she graduated from Anders Beckman School of Visual Arts in Stockholm 1989. Over the years she has worked with most of the prominent magazines and advertising agencies in Sweden (yes, she has worked with IKEA). In the summer of 2000 Monica moved to New York and a new set of clients. She has a very distinct flowing line and an eye for color. Her very contemporary work incorporates the computer as a tool but never to the point where it looks machine made. Fashion and editorial make up the bulk of her work, but she has illustrated books, drawn her own comics and exhibited fine art as well.
