Josh grew up in Taiwan, Canada and the United States. As a small boy, Josh was not particularly athletic and mostly preferred to stay indoors with his detective novels and pencils. A desire to further pursue art as a career led him to the Art Center College of Design where he studied under the venerable Rob Clayton and Jason Holley. Upon graduation, he got his first recurring job from Steven Heller at the New York Times Book Review. Since then, Josh's art has been commissioned by clients that include Pepsi, Sony Music, Time, Volkswagen, Metropolis and The New Yorker. His one-off silkscreens and intricate gouache paintings can be found in various galleries around the country. Artistic influences range from punk rock music, Japanese "Ukiyo-e" prints to contemporary graphic design. Josh currently resides in Brooklyn with his wife Jenny and wildly enthusiastic dog, Porkchop.
