I am married to a most demanding creature. It’s a tumultuous relationship of over 12 +`s years. I’ve even moved across the ocean, an Englishman in trainers, hiking boots, ski boots, flip flops, flippers, all to keep the flame alive. It’s never easy. At night, the relationship keeps me tossing restlessly with new must-do ideas. My dreams are fits of visual concept, stories and solutions, days are consumed by an addiction to films, blogs, books and music.
It’s pushed me into commercials, short films, feature films, brand films, documentaries and even the sorts of films that you do, just to keep a roof over ones head, but never talk about. It’s caused me sleepless nights, a cameraman’s shoulder that could one day usurp Quasimodo and an unhealthy obsession in digital film. It’s always greedy for my hours, dragging me place to place, from green screen studios, up mountains, underwater, to film sets, extreme sports events and some places you normally only see on TV. And still, it pounds its fists, demanding more. But I am happy. I’m married to my job. Me and Filmmaking are madly in love. We don’t see a divorce in the cards anytime soon..
