Since beginning with watercolor in 2006, I have learned to paint in 4 ways. I make:
(1) geometric abstracts called "nanoscapes," ranging in size from postcards to 22x33;"
(2) whimsical creatures called "small friends," whose portraits and stories are in two books (The Small Friends' Chronicles, ebook and softcover ( ) and Meet the LLLamas, softcover and Kindle ( );
(3) digital "other visions" created from tiny watercolor paintings that I scan into Photoshop for my Image-a-Day project; and
(4) The Lost Cave Paintings of Saint Paul, acknowledging the caves of Saint Paul, MN, and imagining that there is an unexplored cave with images of historic and pre-historic creatures. Watercolor on gesso-on-paper or gesso-on-aluminum board.
