Brief Summary
Chris Lensch lives in Traverse City, Michigan, with his wife, three teenage boys and two dogs, surrounded by forest near the shores of Lake Michigan. He loves hiking the dunes, swimming, beach combing and most of all, fly-fishing. Chris has been working in children’s publishing for the last 15 years. He has illustrated stickers, greeting cards, and games, but his true passion is creating children’s books. He has illustrated over 20 titles and authored four; Up In Space, There Are Bugs, Ahoy, and One Busy Bee. He is currently at work on on two new books, Sockfari and I Am, slated to be published later this year.

Chris graduated in 1989 from The Columbus College of Art and Design. He launched his career as a freelance illustrator, primarily working in traditional media. In 1994 he took a job at a digital design studio in St Louis. There, He turned his attention to digital illustration. In 2002 he began taking assignments in children’s publishing and then accepted a full time position as a creative at a preschool curriculum company in 2012.
