Brief Summary
My name is Pedro Alves da Veiga and I was born in 1963.

I also hold a degree in Computer Science, but my connection to the arts expressed itself even during my studies, when I developed research on fractal music and image synthesis, which lead to the presentation of a multimedia piece in the Tower of Belém, Lisbon’s ex-libris, also broadcast on the public TV channel RTP2.

I am a professional musician, and have worked both as an author and as a musician in several bands, as well as my own music project (Knife and Soul on Facebook and Myspace), and also creating soundtracks and sound effects for theatre – Anton Chekov’s “The Cherry Orchard”, directed by Lisbon’s National Theatre António Rama, and “Gil’s Lovers”, a UAU production for the Villaret Theatre in Lisbon.

The fine-arts experiences began in 1999, as an autodidact. I took part in some collective exhibitions, highlighting the Montepio Bank, in 2001, and in 2002 at Galeria Municipal Gymnásio in Lisbon.

I was a Computer Graphics Assistant-professor for the Computer Science course at Universidade Nova de Lisboa, INESC, Communication Director for Rumos, Training and Communication, research associate at the Multimedia Centre of and finally, from 1998 until 2011 I started and managed two multimedia, web design and web development companies, where I coordinated and directed several projects. Some highlights from my client list include Portugal Telecom, Young & Rubicam, Hyundai, Vodafone, Quinta da Regaleira, the Portuguese Ministry of Foreign Affairs, among many others.

At the end of 2011 I decided to embark on this new adventure, where I am mostly connected to all creative disciplines, and much less to the engineering and software development components.

I am presently living in Portugal, dividing myself between Lisbon and Estoril, where now I develop most of my activity.
