Freelance Designer

 

Walt Disney Imagineering 2010-Present

As a concept designer for WDI I’ve been responsible for modeling and rendering illustrations for a number of new developments and attraction concepts. Including the Hyperion Wharf/ Down Town Disney redevelopment.

 

Universal Studios Merchandising 2010-Present

As a designer for Universal I’ve been responsible for the design of retail venues and custom displays including expansions of the Harry Potter retail areas as well as signage and venues throughout both Universal and Islands of Adventure. I was also responsible for the merchandising graphics package for Halloween Horror Nights 2010 and 2011.

 

555 Design 2011-Present

As a designer for 555 I’ve been responsible for the design of high end, custom retail venues for internationally recognized brands.

 

Toothfairy 2 (Film)

As a designer/ concept artist for Toothfairy 2 I created key art for ‘Fairy Land’ a major fantasy component of the film as well as storyboards and character designs for an animated sequence.

 

i.d.e.a.s. Orlando August 2010-April 2011

As a designer/ illustrator/ animator I was responsible for storyboards and key art illustrating themed venues and interactive experiences as well as creating character, background, and animated assets for the Adventure to Fitness series and an unannounced video game.

As Creative Manager at Falcon’s Treehouse, a boutique theme park and attraction design/development firm I was responsible for multiple facets of the creative process beginning with initial concept development and extending through the production process. As a small firm Falcon’s challenged employees to wear a number of hats and I was eager to participate in any area that I felt I could have a positive impact.

A Light in the Darkness: Star Wars Fan Film 2010-2011

As Art Director, co-writer, co-producer, and visual effects coordinator on ALITD I was responsible for concept development, character designs, storyboards, set design and prop design and construction, matte painting and visual effects compositing.

Education

 

Graduated in 2002 with a Bachelor of Arts degree from the Savannah College of Art and Design my major area of study was Sequential Art, with minors in Drawing and Video/Film.

 

Skills

 

My skills include proficiency with drawing, digital painting in Photoshop, storyboards, writing and visual storytelling. I have experience with AfterEffects, Premiere and SketchUp I am also proficient with traditional media including pencil, ink, watercolors and acrylics.

 

Additional interests include martial arts, model building, fitness and filmmaking.
