Brief Summary
My body of work is an accumulation of my life-time experience of photography, architecture and real
estate, (a photographer and proprietor), all accomplished side-by-side over a period of 45 years.
I have several portfolios: painted architecture, mirrored image architectural studies, abstract views,
multi-exposed images, sectional studies as sculptures, and more; see my website!
www.PeterBrandt.com
My photography career started in an industrial photo studio. I was assigned to shoot pavilions for the
International Worlds Fair; Montrealʼs Expo 67. Four years into this genre, I discovered fashion and
advertising photography, all the while shooting for my personal interest of abstract graphic designs, and abstract views of architecture.
After thirty odd years, while living in Manhattan, I returned to architectural photography and itsʼ art.

For the last 10 years, while I ʻpaintʼ my architectural images, I shut down my analytical mind and allow my emotion and instinct to direct my ʻcomputer mouseʼ brush. I paint not in a conventional way.

I have been influenced by working with ʻfine artsʼ artists, architects, art directors and creative directors in advertising, as well as, my own life long studies and interests in the fine arts.

Photographers like ManRay, Alfred Stieglitz, and Alexander Rodchenko have had great influence on me, as well as painters like Wassily Kandinsky and Piet Mondrian.

During my life as a commercial photographer, Iʻve always had a feeling of wanting to pursue art as a
career. Now, I am living the change that I seek.

Clients
I have retired from commercial photography, so that client list is pointless. My new career is fine art photography specializes in architecture, graphic patterns, foto-painting.
My work has been archived with:
New York Historical Society, Museum of the City of NY, Canadian Center for Architecture,
I'm represented by Avant Gallery Miami FLorida.
