Brief Summary
Born in South African and now based in Oslo, Lev David has extensive experience telling stories on and across multiple platforms. Before becoming a screenwriter and director, he worked with media and advertising companies as a producer, format developer (radio and television), creative consultant and transmedia consultant. He was Chief Creative Consultant on the South African relaunch of MSN, writing the creative and editorial strategy. The portal grew its audience by 446% in the first 30 days and is now South Africa's largest website.
Lev wrote the South African hit movie, 31 MILLION REASONS (2011) and as several projects in development for release in 2013 and 2014. As writer and director, he recently completed the short film DOWN (a children's fantasy) which was a winner of the Africa First Award from FOCUS FEATURES.
With award-winning illustrator Johan de Lange, Lev has recently added his words to award-winning illustrator JOHAN DE LANGE's pictures for the children's book, THE SNAKE AND THE SKULL.
