Brief Summary

I am a fine artist. The genres I paint are American and European landscapes, water scenes, florals, and wildlife. The mediums I work in are acrylics, oils and watercolor. I have written and illustrated art instruction books, and starred in an art instruction DVD. Several companies have licensed my work for numerous products.

Museum shows include the San Diego Museum of Art, San Diego Natural History Museum, and the Bonita Museum and Cultural Center.

Currently, I am teaching acrylic painting workshops for the Grumbacher Company at Michaels stores in San Diego County. I jury art shows, give painting demonstrations, and exhibit my work in galleries and juried shows.

My work is available as original paintings, limited edition giclée prints, and open edition prints. My work is collected by corporations, hospitals, and individuals throughout the world. Please link to: www.joanhansenart.com to visit my online art gallery.
