Sr Copywriter
Ascentium/Portland, OR (Feb. 2008 – Sept. 2008)
Responsible for developing concepts/copy in production of consumer driven advertising, websites, print collateral, direct mail campaigns, and retail environment graphics for clients such as Intel, Random House, Oregon Pear Bureau, MTV and ABC. Other responsibilities included building brand awareness of client product benefits to stimulate sales as well as writing proposals, marketing plans, public relations and responding to RFPs for the Portland office.
Key Accomplishments:
Pitching and implementing the pro-bono project of Wherethebadkidsgo.com; a highly animated, otherworldly Web site designed to reveal the world of HECK: Where The Bad Kids Go, the first book in a series of novels by Random House author Dale E. Basye. Working closely with Basye, we conceptualized and designed a fun, interactive destination to generate excitement about the series and provide a visually unique, content rich experience complete with quizzes, downloadable screensavers and desktops, author’s blog and more. This project also opened the door to a relationship with Random House.
SR. COPYWRITER
lucy activewear/Portland, OR (Aug. 2007 – Feb. 2008)
Developed editorial content and wrote fashion specific copy for web (e-commerce, e-mail, blogs, product reviews), print (in store, direct mail, catalog), and additional apparel projects (hang tags, fit guides) to promote lucy apparel to a targeted audience both online and brick and mortar initiatives. Also wrote press releases, media alerts and helped to update internal lucy brand identity.

Immersing myself in the world of action sports, I created concepts/copy for promotional weekly and monthly e-mails, E-commerce storefronts, seasonal eCatalogs, and SEO specific copy for all Nikestore.com product. In addition, I helped concept and write print, e-commerce and online initiatives for Smith Optics, Mastercraft, Red Bull, and HP gaming as well as internal Nemo Design communication materials and new business proposals.
Key Accomplishments:
· Worked on team to develop/implement new design direction for Nikestore.com’s e-commerce site revamp. The result involved promotional spots that merge rich design and quality content for each category of Nike product on the site.
· Partnered with Art Director to develop an internal/external Design and Process Guide for the Nikestore.com account.
· Worked closely with Creative Director and Design to concept creative for the following micro-sites as well as develop tone and voice: Nike Swim, Nike Tennis, Nike Soccer, Nike Baseball, Nike Members Only Store, 10//2 (Lance Armstrong), Smith Interlock, HP Lab Series

Worked closely with Art Director(s) to create and develop concepts and copy for consumer driven advertising, websites, print collateral, direct mail campaigns, new product launches and retail environment graphics for a variety of clients—HP, Apple, SPARQ and the LPGA—to build awareness of client product benefits and stimulate sales. Also assisted in writing proposals, marketing plans, and publicity for new business acquisitions and internal communications.
Key Accomplishments:
Creating and implementing the Defy Labels campaign; a viral marketing venture that created a buzz around HP’s newest product called LightScribe. Rather than just touting a product, the interactive campaign created interest in how the product could help users express themselves for business or play.

Worked with Creative Director to develop and create strategic brand campaign for Argent Mortgage Company utilizing celebrity spokeswoman Danica Patrick. Campaign material included extensive advertising, marketing, pr, and event and e-commerce campaigns. In addition to my creative duties of writing, editing, and proofreading of all print and web (e-commerce) materials, I also helped manage the development and production of materials by creating/maintaining project schedules, attending press checks and communicating with account reps and media vendors. Also helped to decreased overall costs by bringing design production and QA in house.

Developed, implemented and maintained creative content/copy for recruitment advertising plans and HR identity programs for The State of Oregon.
