 Jeff Powers began painting in Vermont.  He then moved to the Washington D.C. area where he studied at the Maryland College of Art and Design.  He has shown his paintings in various galleries in Maryland, Virginia and D.C..

"I entered photography through painting.  I began by taking photographs of subjects for my paintings.  After a time I realized I was more captivated by the photography than the painting."

Jeff moved to Denver in 1994.  He has since explored photographic techniques and honed his vision.  Jeff began showing is photographs in 2000.
