Brief Summary
Education
June 1993 Graduated with diploma from Commercial Design program at Holland College in Charlottetown, P.E.I. I studied all areas of design including typography, photography & illustration, pre-press, and using the Macintosh. I also had the opportunity to work for a few actual clients while I was in school.
Work Experience
June 1991 Graduated with diploma from Carleton North Senior High School in Bristol, N.B. Major courses of study were Math, English, Art, and Music.
October 2002 to the present Working as a freelance designer and art director in Osaka Japan, doing many different projects, including CD packages, websites, promotional materials, advertising, brochures, etc. for various clients. Collaborated with another Osaka-based designer named Koji Danda for about a year and a half. We completed a website in August of last year under
the name SPAZZ. We recently separated and I formed, Flux Design and the website was launched in December 2005.
October 2001 to September 2002 Art Director at Winning Concepts in Vancouver BC doing print design and production. I also did contract work on the side as an art director and designer for clients including Songlines Recordings, NoiseBludgeon Recordings (a Vancouver-based avant-garde music label which I am part of) and Vancouver New Music.
November 2000 to February 2001 Contract work for Karo Design Resources in Vancouver BC doing design and production. Most of the clients at Karo were related to the Real Estate industry.
February 2000 to November 2000 Art Director at Lanyon Phillips Communications in Vancouver BC. This position has involved conceptualising, art directing and executing ad campaigns and related materials for clients like Telus, Voyus Computer Solutions, Money Mart, BC Hothouse and BC Hydro.
August 1999 to January 2000 Art Director at Winning Concepts in Vancouver BC. This contract position included the art direction, design and production of many different print materials such as newsletters, corporate identities, posters, brochures, as well as a few websites.

January 1996 to August 1998 Full-time Graphic Designer at Compass Communications in Halifax, N.S. I produced a wide range of print materials including identities, kit-folders, brochures, inserts, packages, displays, newsletters, corporate profiles, and print ads.
