Brief Summary
Introduction:

Originally started as an idea crafted into a blog, Endless Media was created and developed by Thomas Charles Lee, born on 18th May 1992, whilst studying in the South East of England. Endless Media has now developed in terms of scale, out-reach and interest with the aim of ever-improving technical skills, creativity and engaging itself to a wider international audiences. The Endless idea and concept is a global, self-sufficient and viable business entity my aim was to create and develop a business based on Formal Rationality (Protocol) while maintaining my own substantive rationality (The Freedom to Experiment). Endless Media is a business/service based on product delivery with the aim to satisfy consumer’s needs, which is what I set out to create. The energy sparked by the idea and the success of Tom individually has now led to wider involvement on a local community level as well as gaining recognition with businesses internationally.

“The extreme, the untamed and the untouched are what I’m about. Endless Media is a launch pad and a journey for us, you and me, as well as an outlet for the feelings of that little boy in the corner. We are here to throw our toys out the pram. Sit down and bite your tongue; the time to break the bottle of your heart has come, stain these pages with its contents. The time to stand, the time to shout, and the time to pour your thoughts and feelings out within these pages is here.”

The idea that prompted the development of this Endless concept came from this short extract of text written by Tom. This has now been used for advertising purposes in social networking sites and as a tool for prompting the voluntary commitment of various Endless Media Associates.

Tom started with photography and videography projects. He used his personal savings to invest in camera, video, studio lighting and sound equipment. His efforts and adventures became known throughout Hertfordshire thanks to newspaper editorial features, then spreading into London via word of mouth this landed him freelance jobs with larger international companies and businesses.

As a result of Tom’s early success with projects such as Pandora’s box - whose regular chart music covers have generated over 1.3 million views (both filmed and directed by Tom), Endless Media started to receive donations. These donations were due to the quality of the work that Tom was producing. As his work became more widely known, interest from some levels of media grew. In a newspaper interview with the Herts and Essex Observer, Tom, Endless Media and the story that was evolving was described like this; “Hotshot Bishop’s Stortford videographer Tom Lee hopes to give the Town’s music scene a shot in the arm” in the words of James Burton. He described how by providing and organising bands around the southeast with still images from gigs, recording sessions and then live music video shoots - Endless Media was developing itself as an effective platform. “Helping young musicians find a bigger audience by shooting their live performances for the web, as well as short unplugged sessions and promo videos”.

The first year of operation, 2012, has been about gaining experience, developing viable business skills as well as broadening artistic contacts. With the successful registration of www.endlessmedia.co.uk the online presence of Endless Media has already started to grow and now should continue. The website has been crafted with an accessible design for ease of use – in time providing quick access to all the media outlets for anyone new to the Endless Media business. The website should provide a showcase to a wide range of undiscovered as well as eclectic talent. Ultimately Endless Media can reach out to Artists, Authors, and Musicians, fellow photographers and videographers whilst advertising professional skills to new industries and businesses at the same time. The use of Endless Media and, its promotional tools and Electronic Press Kits, will undoubtedly inspire a new a new genre of personal customized advertising created by the individual. As the Endless Media brand grows, its team of sub-contractors will be increasingly consolidated with specialist skills in specific areas ideal for increasing the scope of its reach as a business.
Customers so far have included bands, brands and businesses, all quickly recognising the unique skills that Endless Media offered to the music scene. Both photography and video projects have been completed for festivals such as the Bishop’s Stortford Music Festival, Cazfest and Waldstock and at a national level Endless Media has covered artists at Brown Stock Festival and the internationally famous Download Festival in Donington Park.

Endless Media has worked with successful bands, artists and individuals but also international companies and organisations. Here are some testimonials from various clients: Benedict is a solo Artist who since being involved with Endless Media has gone on to attain over 100,000 YouTube video hits, was invited to play for the Queens ‘Golden Jubilee’ and has released his debut EP; “Working with Endless Media is always exciting and unpredictable. He constantly has wicked ideas that can dramatically change a project for the better without you even realizing how genius they are! His camera-work and photography is always top quality while always having a unique edge that makes his entire portfolio incredibly impressive and diverse”. Kurran And The Wolfnotes now known, as The Wolfnotes is a London based act; “Working with endless media as a whole, was one of the easiest experiences. Tom Lee made everything extremely easy going and we're all so happy with the finished product. The whole shoot was so laid back, he didn't put any pressure on and it made the day fly by as we all had so much fun. He's a professional and a laugh! Anyone lucky enough to work with him is very privileged - Thanks for everything dude”. The Last Men who are based in Hertfordshire described their experience of Endless Media like so; “Working with Tom Lee of Endless Media has been amazing. His generosity is only out-weighed by his visionary artistic talent. A true van-guard of the DIY media and arts ethic our band holds close to”. Lou Fargeout director of a South-East based wed-design and graphics company ‘WeAreSweet’ described Tom as an “extremely enthusiastic individual and reliable camera operator. I've worked with him on several projects and he has been a real asset to the team providing great artistic vision coupled with a good technical ability. I look forward to including Tom in our future projects”. Paul Humphries A.K.A Project Alfie described his experience like so “Working with Endless Media was needless to say a pleasure. He was able to give you the confidence that he will get the shot you need and he isn't scared to take a risk to do it. Likeable and relaxed in person but also quick of mind I’m assured that endless media will continued to create quality artist visuals” after his video went on to receive over 50,000 hits - Project Alfie says “work with EndlessMedia”. After being employed by Paul Gardner to carry out the position of D.O.P on the Projet Alfie shoot he described the experience like so; “Tom worked for me as director of photography on the Project Alfie – Beggin’ shoot. He was truly an asset not only as a quality camera operator but also as a creative asset. He used initiative and common sense when shooting guerrilla style in and around London and wasn't afraid to get stuck in. I would recommend Tom as a director/camera operator or runner on your shoot as he would be an asset”. After Roses In Rome received their new music video from Tom Lee at Endless Media they described the experience like so “I must say was shocked at how incredible the quality was. The editing is most definitely professional, and I would recommend any band or artist in the direction of Endless Media hands down”.

These comments, and observations from clients lead into the general philosophy and ethics that all Endless Media Associates and Agents should abide and adhere to within each of their individual practices. Developed through experience, this hopes to provide a guideline for better experiences.

Aside from the large portfolio of creative work and customers that Endless Media has attained under the strong leadership of Tom Lee – it’s commercial and corporate portfolio has already begun to widen and gain serious credibility as a player across the board. In 2012 Endless Media was commissioned by (SLM) Everyone Active to provide a cross-centre documentary including interviews and candid footage over the South-East region. Alison Sutherland, Regional Swim Development Manager described this experience like so; “I would like to thank you for the film you produced for the Everyone Active Awards Ceremony. It was a great experience filming with you, and everyone that was filmed on the day commented on your professionalism and the way you managed to put even the most nervous nominee at ease. When the film was completed and viewed at our business launch everyone that saw it commented on how professional it was and I believe it even brought tears to some eyes. I would like to thank you once again and I look forward to working with you in the future”. In 2011 Endless Media began working with the international online-gaming organization Fnatic their Editor in Chief at the time Phillip Rasmussen from Norway described his business trip to Sweden like so “I had the pleasure of working with Tom Lee at DreamHack Winter 2011 from the 24-27th of November. Tom is not only easy going and a very motivated co-worker, he also possess a fantastic talent for seeing a scenery in his head and transforming it to fabulous photography. On more than one occasion, Tom would re-arrange the entire setup of a shoot, move lights or alter the scene altogether in order to get the perfect shot. Throughout the four days we were working together, Tom showed dedication and stamina that is sought out amongst every employer. He stayed for 12+ hours a day, editing footage (both still and video) on the fly. Throughout my 8 working years in professional eSport and 6 years as an Editor in Chief, I have never worked with a photographer with such a drive and talent. While not accustomed to gaming at all, Tom went ahead with the tasks I set for him with an enthusiasm that far exceeded anything I have witnessed before, and despite his far superior experience with photography, he would still listen to the directions I gave him. I would recommend Tom for any photography task, be it still shots or video, as he is simply the best I have ever worked with. Phillip’s fellow colleague Danijel Remus, General Manager of FnaticMSI also noted “Tom Lee has a great working ethic which is of the upmost importance for me and the organization I manage with my colleagues. Being passionate and being equally very effective with what he does makes Tom a great person to work with. He has proven himself in Germany at GamesCom and in Sweden at DreamHack Winter 2011 where he managed to create huge amount of quality pictures and videos and edit them swiftly

Molly-May Walbanke who studies at The University Of Bedfordshire described Endless Media’s progress like so “using technology is key to businesses at whatever stage they are at. Now, due to social networking, creating a business has become easier to launch and promote. Endless Media is the work of Tom Lee, who studied at both Bishops Stortford and Saffron Walden County High School, has used the use of technology in order to create a blog as well as trying to launch a new company. Through the use of and investment in a canon 5D as well as traditional film cameras he has been able to accomplish work that has been reported to be 'stunning' (Herts and Essex observer, 2012) and has managed to help many artists who may not of been heard of before to find a wider audience by filming their live performances and uploading them onto YouTube. His blog uses both images and text in order to create a page, which attracts a range of different audiences. His site alone has had 10,000 hits, which also helps to promote bands as well as his company.
