As a partner & principal photographer at Photolux Commercial Studio, at age 37, Christian Lalonde, has already made his mark in the industry. His work demonstrates a remarkable versatility as a commercial photographer & photo illustrator.
Christian completed his photography studies in 1996 from La Cité collégiale in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. Since joining Photolux in 1997, he has secured clients such as ; Agriculture & Agri-food Canada, Cooking Light Magazine, Costco Wholesale, Crown Plaza Hotels, Estée Lauder, IBM, Le Cordon Bleu, Loblaws, Maple Leaf, National Art Centre, Nygard, Readers Digest, Sony and Yves St. Laurent… just to name a few.
His recent work in producing images for the book “Le petit Larousse du chocolat” for Larousse Publications, awarded him with a “GOURMAND COOKBOOKS AWARDS France 2008 “ - Awarded for it visual content by the Jury of Gourmand France in the category of Best Chocolate book. In 2010 Christian received an Applied Arts Award for the food images in the story "101 Things to Try Before You Die".
As part of his impressive repertoire Christian was named “Canadian Commercial Photographer of the Year” in 2001 & in 2002 by the Professional Photographers of Canada (PPOC). He has been highlighted in several international trade magazines and publications. Recognized for his expertise in lighting as well as his high standards in photography, Christian has been speaking for the last 6 years at WPPI, one of the world’s largest photography conventions & trade show, held in Las Vegas, Nevada. His work is also feature by MOAB Papers as well as LiteShapers on a regular basis. Christian also holds a spot on the executive board of the CAPIC organization in Canada.
