Chihiro Sasaki （佐々木千尋）is a London based illustrator/ artist. Originally from Japan, Tokyo, she studied and graduated from BA(Hons) Graphic Design at Central Saint Martins College of Art and Design in University of the Arts London in 2010.

I believe that an illustrator should be able to propose to the viewers different ways of looking at a subject through critical study and acute visualisation. Personally, I am particularly interested in events or objects in our daily lives. As these are very familiar things, we scarcely ever pay special attention to them. They are described as usual things and people tend to seek for something new, or something totally different to norm. I think, however, this world has far more than enough objects, lives and events, and we have just got too used to them. All we need is a small switch of our minds, to lead us toward a slightly different and exciting world. Through my works, I would like to inspire people to switch their minds and renew the way they see their daily environments in a way. 


ロンドン芸術大学卒業後，同市内の雑誌社でイラストレーターとして活動中。フリーでの作品はファインアート，アニメーション，イラストレーションなど様々なメディアで制作しています。
　イラストレーションは単なるドローイングではなく，広い意味で「思いと相手を繋ぐ媒体」です。日常の中に新しい価値観を見出すこと。ふと立ち止まり自分の周りの世界を見直して，小さな発見をすること。視点を変えるスイッチを見つけ，そしてそれを誰かに伝えること。いろいろな手法を模索しながら，視覚によるコミュニケーションの可能性を広げていきたいと思っています。
