Through my extensive experience in print journalism for major market daily
publications, I’m seeking a position with an innovative company that shares

Qualifications
With 20 years of publishing experience, including as a freelance illustrator
for books and magazines and most recently as a visual journalist at a major regional
newspaper, my skill set is wide. My 20-year tenure in journalism has helped me
build assets such as clarity and the capability to meet strict daily deadlines. I’ve been recognized
by industry leaders and my former coworkers for communicating complex ideas in clear, bold and
sophisticated ways.
My work has been showcased on daily front pages for many years, including daily broadsheet,
weekly tabloid, Sunday magazine, special sections and project series.

In my many years at the newspaper, my role had evolved from staff artist to senior editorial
news artist and past visuals liaison to sports, news features, insight/op-ed, editorial special projects
group, breaking news, etc. Produced daily informational graphics.

Calendar entertainment tab redesign, 1997- 2001:
Created new look for Calendar section and designed weekly covers.
Editorial redesign team, 1997-98:
Created and implemented design updates in tandem with the newspaper’s launch of the CCI system.
Readership Task Force, 1995-96:
Organized, documented and helped implement methods of better communication between reader focus
groups and newsroom staff and management.
