As Senior Graphic Designer with a wide range of experience (18) in web design, multimedia as well as ready-to-print artwork I am currently developing and maintaining the website of the Petroleum Institute in Abu Dhabi, an international institute of higher education with employees of 40+ nationalities. This initial task trained me in structuring, organizing and creating rich web content, always with information architecture (IA) and usability (GUI) in mind. On the other hand I run a small in-house graphic design office that takes care of all advertising campaigns, promotional material and branding for the institute. I'm able to work on my own initiative and as part of a team. Have a diplomatic knack for managing, developing and inspiring a team to achieve its objectives and deadlines. My hands-on analytical problem solving skills and my dedication to maintain high quality standards have been awarded in the past.
After obtaining my BA In Graphic Design in Brussels Belgium, my career took on a steady and stable pace whereby I channeled my artistic talents to developing expertise in communication graphics and later digital graphics. My portfolio is diverse and contains anything from designing brochures, presentations, award-winning CD-ROM’s, websites for a variety of companies to co-founding a music dot-com in the late 90’s.
In my paintings a slowness of sentiment emanates from the depicted appearances, almost all of which find their origins in human beings but, through that accurately felt slowness, have transformed themselves to become what they appear to be.
