Brief Summary
Out of his Rio based Studio German born Designer and Illustrator Sebastian Molzahn dreams up ageless motifs, graphics, and moving imagery that reflect an astonishing elasticity of styles. Combining his traditional sketches and drawings with a command over an array of software. The Graphics of Sebastian bring all the colours and power of Latin-American folklore, refined with a subtle touch of European sophistication.

Sebastian Molzahn is an unrelenting advocate of the philosophies behind fusion and contrast. Expressing complex processes in their simplest structure, Molzahn’s end aim is a plurality represented in a single form. In describing his work he says, “When confronted with multiplicity, I extract what might be viewed as a wide range of conflicts. My work is only complete once I am confident that these conflicts are no longer seen; that everything fits. I am in the business of searching for simple solutions to express complex circumstances.” Mr. Molzahn’s visual repertoire is fundamentally a code whereby the sum of the parts makes up an entirely new whole. “I strip things down to the purest base, where there is absolutely nowhere more to go. It can take me weeks just to find the perfect form or letter to describe the best vision of a client. Transforming a company’s vision of itself to a concrete and palatable shape is the biggest challenge.

Often it helps me to take a step back, observe from a distance. Only then do I change the angle. Flip it. Remix it. This is how I developed my very own visual language…multi-angled design is what I am interested in right now.” Using this methodical design approach has led Molzahn to provide solutions to a number of clients and events. Currently he is chief designer of Sunking Clothing and heads his own Rio based Studio. Like the sculptor who is overly cautious not too cut too much away, Mr. Molzahn has been instrumental in defining the visual language of the Social Fabric & others.
