Brief Summary
Dung Hoang’s rich textural illustrations have graced the pages of numerous publications. Like many illustrators, he began drawing at an early age. But it wasn’t until a few years ago that he decided to illustrate professionally. Trained as a graphic designer and art director for over a decade, Dung’s work has been recognized by various organizations, including AIGA, Communication Arts, The One Show, The Addys, Graphis, Print, CASE, and the Society of Publications. His work is also in the permanent collection of the Library of Congress.

With a penchant for all things discarded, such as old textbooks, thrown-away ephemera, and wood type, Dung will often combine them into his work. He uses printmaking and traditional fine arts techniques seamlessly with digital processes to give his work a worn, weathered look.
