seventyseventyonedesign is a small design company owned by Gail Myerscough.
All products are handmade in her studio based in Lancashire.
She creates sculptural fashion accessories from wool mix felt and is interested in using felt in a sculptural way.
Her inspiration comes from 60s and 70s designs and colours, in particular the designs and colourways of 1960s Scandinavian ceramics, glass, fabrics and mid century design.
Gail studied Surface Pattern Design but gradually became more interested in constructed textiles.
"I think textiles must be in my blood. In tracing my family tree I discovered my ancestors worked in the textile mills of Lancashire as far back as 1800 and probably beyond.".
