Curtis Saxton lives in Round Rock, TX. He is a devoted Digital Renaissance Artist, Scientist, and Student of the Modern World!
His formal Education was completed at the University of North Texas in 1999. There he completed a degree in General Studies. Beginning with studies in Biology and Ecology, he decided in his sophomore year that he really liked the pictures and wished to contribute to solutions to global ecological challenges facing his and future generations.
At the time Environmental Studies, Green Building and Architecture were very new and not officially incorporated into formal University educational systems; so he made up his own degree. He completed studies in Visual Arts, including: Drawing, Design, Art and Architectural History, 2D and 3D Digital Art, Game Design, Sculpture, and Hybrid forms. Simultaneously, he completed coursework through the College of Engineering Technology in: Engineering Drawing and Graphics, Architectural Engineering Drafting and Design, Construction Methods and Materials, Project Management and Scheduling, GIS, and Transportation.
Its been a wild ride! Over the past decade we have witnessed and participated in enormous global, local, and philosophical changes, and it does not seem to be slowing down. Its a very exciting time to be alive!
His professional experience has taken him on a journey within the world of Arts and Sciences; including jobs working in as seemingly disparate fileds and roles as: Graphic Designer, Digital Illustrator, Technical Artist, Corporate Graphics Designer, Neon Signage Manufacturing Drafter, Web Designer, Flash Designer, CAD Technician, CAD Manager, Architectural Drafter, 3D Modeling Artist, Architectural Visualization Specialist, BIM Technician, GIS Technician, Sketch Up Artist, Roofing Sales Person and Project Manager, and even Landscape Design Drafter.
Curtis and his spouse Suzanne enjoy all of life`s many blessings together including Great Friends, Food, Family, Music, Films, Art, Austin, and other cool travel / live experiences. They spent three years in Boulder, CO; learning to snowboard, two in San Diego, CA; learning to surf and have lived in Austin for the last 5 years; enjoying every minute!
