Brief Summary
SABO STUDIO is a design studio run by product designer Hisakazu Shimizu. The motto “Attempta Noli Vereor” inscribed on the logo ribbon means “Attack Without Fear.”
In addition to his work of designing products for Canon Inc., including a number of award-winning models in the Canon IXUS(IXY) DIGITAL series, Shimizu continues his own design work under the name SABO STUDIO.

1984 Graduated from Industrial Design Course, Kuwasawa Design College
1989 Entered Canon Inc.
1997 Solo exhibition: "Lovable Bad Design" (Living Design Gallery, Tokyo)
1998 Established SABO STUDIO (Tokyo)
2001 Started serial column "MADE IN PEOPLE-Appearance of Daily Life"(vol.89-94), "MADE IN PEOPLE-Lovable Bad Design"(vol.95-118) in the design and architectual magazine "AXIS"

2007 Participated in "Design: Peak of Good Hope" exhibition (Nagasaki Prefectural Art Museum)
