Brief Summary
Pixelsurgeon and Black Convoy co-founder Richard May has produced hundreds of illustrations for a diverse range of magazines and newspapers, such as Time, Time Out, Ray Gun, Wired, The Independent, Edge (UK), The Guardian, New Scientist, and New York magazine. May has illustrated point-of-sale for Nordstrom and Waterstones; contributed to the Peugeot 305 UK marketing campaign, and worked for and with a number of bands and record labels including Echobelly, Punish the Atom, and Luaka Bop. In addition to an acclaimed solo show in 2001, Richard has contributed to various international group exhibitions; including Freshstart at The Santa Monica Museum of Art, benefiting Free Arts for Abused Children; The Design a Qee Expo 2004, for London's Playlounge toy store and Japanese toy company Toy2R, and with interior design consultancy The Apartment at the world's oldest YMCA building in New York, sponsored by Swarovski.
