My Gallery
Brief Summary
I’m an artist and designer from Amsterdam, The Netherlands. When I was a nine year old kid I started to develop a fascination for architecture, I think those were early signs of what was to come. I ran around showing my parents all the great new houses I had designed for them, and how they would be so much happier if they had it built. Things never came that far, but when I reached artclass in Highschool I was introduced to some more forms of art and drawing.

After that a few years went along without much artistic activity, but by the age of 18 I was first introduced to design programs on the computer. I have a love for a retro-modern mix of various styles. I can still get fascinated and inspired by great architecture around the world. I like to be inspired by artistic streams from the past and blend it with modern views, techniques and styles. My work is usually considered a modern form of pop-art in which I take popular text from music, movies, politics or other popular culture and turn it into a visual representation or interpretation of those words.

I’m formally educated in marketing, communication, management and economics. Apart from that I have 8 years of experience with graphic design of which 3 years professionally and I have spent one year working at a design studio that is part of a brand building agency. Currently I am finishing my International Communication Management studies and working freelance as a graphic designer.
