Graphic illustrations offer a bold graphical style that is very suitable for newspaper and magazine articles, as well as more commercial purposes. The strong bright colours and the clear shapes I use communicate the message instantly. Metaphors are often used to tell a story. However, I think an illustration should not be a riddle, or over-conceptual. Its primary goal is to communicate with your reader and deliver an instant message. I have used this style for editorial illustrations on every possible topic, including health, finance, IT and travel. Take a look at some examples here.
