Michelle Munn graduated in 2004 with a BA (Hons) Fine Art. She is currently based in Birmingham UK working as a freelance Fine artist.
Her practice has developed from photography and printmaking giving her a highly decorative and unique style.
Michelles practice is centred around the idea of the uncanny and the fading of memories. She collects old discarded photographs, wallpaper and fabric samples from 1880s 1950s and then replicates these in a combination of differing mediums which over time will deteriorate and rust, due to the natural moisture in the air.
In essence Michelles paintings are going through the natural process of life and death and shall one day cease to be nothing more than a diminishing memory themselves.
