Jib Hunt is an award winning, youth culture Illustrator/Artist and is also an internationally recognized Sportswear Designer who is based in New York City.
Jib Hunt also has his own brand of lifestyle graphic t-shirts called Jib Hunt which is among one of the top up-and-coming streetwear brands on the market. The Jib Hunt T-shirt collection is currently sold at retailers such as Urban Outfitters, Michael K, Blades, Next, Karmaloop, and Yellow Rat Bastard.
Influenced by youth culture, action sports, art, and music, Jib is always trying new things in his work and is constantly pushing his graphics and illustrations to the next level. Over the years, Jibs distinctive style - clean, graphic, and, at times, technical - has evolved to include even more smoothness and detailing.
Jib has kept his finger on the pulse of todays youth culture and its style. His graphic illustration style embodies his sense of environment and culture, and his emphasis on having fun in life.
While Jib attended Design School he was also busy traveling the world as sponsored Professional Snowboarder. Jib has been snowboarding for 20 years and has played an influential role within the snowboarding and action sports industries over the years.
Jib Hunt is known for his sportswear apparel graphics for brands such as Burton Snowboards, Helly Hansen, Vans, Rusty Surfboards, 686 Clothing, and Fox Racing. Jib spent a 5-year tour of duty at Burton Snowboards as the Softgoods Art Director where he designed and managed all outerwear, streetwear, and accessory product lines.
Jibs Invasion graphic was recently featured in the March 2006 issue of Creativity Magazine. In addtion, Jib and the Jib Hunt brand of T-shirts will be featured on the Lifestyle Television series that will air this summer to 80 million homes internationally on the E! Entertainment and Bravo Television channels.
Jib Hunts illustrations can be seen all over the world and Jib has been commissioned to illustrate the advertising campaigns for brands such as Miller Lite, Citibank, Camel, Axe Body spray, Nissan, General Motors, VH1, Johnnie Walker, Taco Bell, and American Express.
Recently, Jib was also responsible for the current re-design of the Virgin Mobile USA brand, which included a new corporate identity package, cellphone packaging, and advertising and marketing initiatives. Jib also worked with Helly Hansen in 2005 to Art Direct and design a majority of their international marketing and promotional campaigns.
