SUMMARY OF QUALIFICATIONS

Because of a wide and varied background, I have an ability to quickly grasp an overview of almost any situation, job or assignment. I have learned how to learn, and I have learned to appreciate, value, and apply the skills and talents of those with whom I work. I have over 40 years as a business owner, photographer, teacher, and writer. I have served as a commissioner for the State of Idaho under two governors and have thus learned the give and take of opposing strongly held beliefs. I write, read and speak fluent Spanish. Among my abilities and accomplishments I can include:

▸ Editing, publishing, writing, retail and wholesale sales, office management, market research, data collection
▸ Development, maintenance, and promotion of three websites: Akbar’s Finest Teas, Going Postal T-shirts (www.goingpostalt-shirts.com), and David Ryan Photography (www.davidryanphotography.com); creative director and production manager.
▸ Considerable competence with Windows, Word, WordPerfect, Excel, PhotoShop, Microsoft Publisher, QuickBooks, Word, WordPerfect, Dreamweaver, and many other specialty software packages.
▸ Appointed to Idaho Commission for the Blind Board of Commissioners by Gov. Phil Batt, 1995-98; Reappointed by Gov. Dirk Kempthorne 1998-2001. Served as Board Chair for three years.
▸ Board Member of Blind Services Foundation, 2003 to present.
