Brief Summary
I was born in Murten, Switzerland. In 1988 I moved from Switzerland to Rhode Island, USA.  
for over 30 years I have been lucky to be able to combine my passion, sailing, and my profession, photography, and share my experiences.       
I covered eleven America's Cups and ten Olympic Games.
I am one of the official Rolex photographers covering their Yachting Events.

Professional Experience
 Daniel Forster was born in Murten, Switzerland. In 1988 he moved from Switzerland to Jamestown, Rhode Island, USA. He has been a freelance photographer since 1974 and has covered eleven America's Cups and ten Olympic Games. TIME magazine sent Daniel for five months to Perth, Australia. His picture of winner Dennis Conner was on the February 1987 TIME cover. He was the official photographer for Bill Koch's America3 team in 1992 when they won the America's Cup. Daniel was the photographer of the UBS Switzerland Whitbread Round the World Race Team and he sailed the last 31 day leg from Uruguay to England as crew and photographer. In 2001/2002 he covered all the stop-overs for the winning illbruck Volvo Ocean Race Team. During the 2005/2006 Volvo Ocean Race Paul Cayard asked him to cover the Vigo and Cape Town starts for the Pirates of the Caribbean. Daniel is now one of the official Rolex photographers covering their Yachting Events.
