I was born in a cold November day in the small and misty town of Ferrara, where I still live and work as a free-lance graphic designer and layout illustrator. In September 1978 I started “Biagio Rossetti” Primary School, but after one year - as I was a real live wire (maybe a misunderstood genious?) -, I was forced to leave and move to another school, the “G. Covoni” Primary School. There I spent the next four years, gaining brilliant results, and finally achieving my Primary School diploma. Then came 1984, and I registered at “G. Garibaldi” Secondary School. I there spent three years in complete solitude and confusion: that was the result of Italy’s victory during the 1982 Football World Cup: I just could not believe it, we kicked out Brasil, with Zico and Falcao! In 1987 I decided to attend Art School “Dosso Dossi”, even if my art teachers assured my parents that I had no talent for drawing. That was the beginning of five difficult years. I was a very lively boy, inside and outside school. My surly nature soon gained control over my skills, and I put aside my love for drawing once and for all. But time passes. In 1991 I joined the Army. I was jumping off the airplane during one of my routine parachute jumps when I got a call from the Italian Military Boxing Team. Boxing is one of my passions; I had been cultivating since I was 9 years old. I made my first fight in the boxing ring at the age of 12 (it was a good way to give vent to my energy). In 1995, after gaining my postgraduate school diploma (anatomical graphics) my life came to a crossroads. I had to choose whether to go on with my boxing career, or decide to give up and try to become a graphic designer. That’s what I did. From 2005 to 2008 I worked for TLA group as a graphic designer and layout illustrator. During those years I gained a lot of experience following the entire production process, from the design of the product to its making. Now I know how to manage a project from A to Z. Since 2008 I have been working for Minerva Edizioni as a free-lance graphic designer and layout illustrator, and continued my collaborations with other companies, such as Hera. In 2007 I was nominated for the international competition “Arena del fumetto” in Bologna. In 2008 I won “Subway Letteratura” competition (Milan) with my drawings. In 2009 I was interviewed by DPI Magazine (Taiwan), which is a very important illustration and graphics magazine, distributed in Asia, U.S.A, Australia and Japan.
