Born in sunny California with my loving Japanese parents, I grew up learning the beauty of two cultures. My childhood hours were mostly spent drawing or gazing at Japanese and English childrens book. The light and bold colors, textures, shapes, and artistic approaches by Eric Carle inspired me as a child to become an artist.
As a child, I always pictured myself creating in a studio in Manhattan, filled with canvases, paints, brushes, and vivid flowers. After a few years in Web Development, I moved to New York City to become a freelance web and graphic designer. I am now in my apartment surrounded with brushes, fabrics, and paper, and ready to fulfill my perennial childhood dream to become a creative and unique designer.
