The New York City based illustrator creates contemporary & retro illustrations appearing in advertising, magazines, newspapers, product packaging, retail graphics, children's picture books, and on the web. A graduate of Parsons School of Design in NYC, Steven studied under top industry professionals, including famed children's book author/illustrator Maurice Sendak. Steven's career began in commercial animation before becoming a full time independent illustrator. Since 2000 he has illustrated 19 children's picture books, and is the author of three of his own titles: COCO THE CARROT, LITTLE TUMBO, and HARRY HUNGRY! In April 2012 Clarion Books released his latest illustrated picture book, BROTHERS AT BAT. In 2013 his next illustrated picture book will be released by Hyperion Books (Disney) entitled, BOOM!
