Thomas Brummett has been working as a fine art and professional commercial photographer since 1983 when he graduated with a Master of Fine Arts in Photography from the Cranbrook Academy of Art.  His work in major museum collections and he has been honored and awarded both nationally and internationally on multiple occasions.

Awards and Recognition

Brummett's work has been honored both nationally and internationally on multiple occasions:  He has been honored as one of the best photographers in America four times in the hardbound annual American Photography #11, #12 #23 and #28 as well as Graphis Photo 88. The 1998 awards include 2 gold awards from the Philly Art Directors club and his fine art promo cards came in 2nd place nationally in the Nikon/PDN Awards. In 2004 he was honored by the International Photography Awards. In 2008 he was honored 2nd place in the world by the World Photography Awards in Cannes. His work is in both museum and corporate collections including the collection of the Museum of Fine Arts, Houston, The Philadelphia Museum of Art, The Cranbrook Museum of Art, Museum of Modern Art Rio de Janeiro.
