Mary Liz—published illustrator, exhibiting artist, and graphic designer—has worked professionally since 1980 in the field, and has contributed to award-winning Kidd Group campaigns and brands since 1987. She holds a bachelor of arts in Visual Art from Florida State University, and is a lifelong resident of Tallahassee.

At work, Mary Liz is eager to find the most successful way to execute ideas in print for all interested clientele. Mary Liz has also written concepting narrative, content for branding and design projects as well as script narrative for numerous audio and video clients in banking, healthcare and private enterprise—throughout her career.

She served for six years on the Board of Directors of Florida State University Schools, Inc. in the office of secretary, and also serves as Community liaison for the FSU Museum Artists' League. She is an active exhibiting member of Gadsden Arts Center, LeMoyne Art Foundation, and the FSU Museum Artists’ League. She has illustration work in three publications by Kitsune Books, having just completed a cover for the mystery "Phantom Army" by K.E.M. Johnson, and is currently working on a book for the organization Lauren's Kids Foundation. Mary Liz invites collaboration on illustration, identity, and design projects as well as fine art commissions from interested parties.

Sole proprietor / freelance provider of illustration and fine art services

Responsibilities: Enjoy and pursue creation of fine art works, portraits of clients' pets and homes, wall and canvas murals on commission. I have assisted fellow artists and clients with logo design, business papers, collateral materials and signage. I provide all aspects of creative visualization through illustration as well as graphic execution as fully as any client needs. I have long provided contacts with custom spot illustrations, greeting cards, and special event graphics for mailings and tee shirts, as well as caricatures and cartoons upon request. I also create soft sculpture objects and jewelry for personal enjoyment and sale.

Responsibilities: project planning and strategizing cooperatively with both divisions to assure streamlined processing and finest quality products result. Generation of specifications and production oversight for entire gamut of print based products, as well as video projects and preliminary graphic elements for storyboarding and interactive animation. Primarily responsible for design / art direction and troubleshooting for print studio. Also has been responsible for written concepting narrative, creating content for a full spectrum of branding and design projects as well as script narrative for numerous audio and video clients in banking, healthcare and private enterprise—throughout her career.


Prior to 1987, I held positions at Cuneo Creative Group, Homes & Land magazine, and was a phlebotomist/Emergency Room Tech with Tallahassee Memorial Regional Medical Center for several years.
